Staff News at Mississippi National Golf Links

We would like to announce the hiring of Kelsey Treptow as our new Food & Beverage Manager at Mississippi National. Kelsey has previously been with Oak Marsh working and learning all aspects of the business since 2008, and is a graduate of University of Wisconsin – Stout with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, specializing in Golf Enterprise Management. Jill Huppert will be the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, and will be assisting Kelsey with banquets, weddings and the golfer’s grille. Jenny Wick will continue to prepare the wonderful meals for our banquets and Jenny Morrell will prepare our delicious grille menu.

Nate Petric will return as the Head Golf Professional and Jim Kanavas will be the Director of Golf. Jim and Nate will help with all of your golfing needs.

Randy Juliar our Golf Course Superintendent and his crew do their best every day to enhance Mississippi National Golf Links natural beauty for your golfing enjoyment.

We look forward to seeing the Mississippi National team in action as the 2012 golf season will soon be underway.

Staff News at Mississippi National Golf Links!

We have news for all of you about the future at MNGL. Gerald & Sharan Wendel will no longer be managing MNGL. WE want to thank them for their years of dedicated service and we’ll miss their enthusiasm. We are also excited about Jim Kanavas (Director of Golf), Nate Petric (Head Golf Professional), Randy Juliar (Golf Course Superintendant) and the rest of the staff which will make MNGL a happy place in 2012 and beyond. Mississippi National Golf Links is on solid ground with the continued partnership between Wendell Pittenger Golf Operations and the City of Red Wing through the year 2038. Mississippi National is not being sold.

We especially want to thank all past, present & future golfers as well as our hard working staff. Together, our teamwork with the City of Red Wing will enable us to continue to be the “Crown Jewel of Minnesota Golf”. An achievement we are all proud of and enjoy being a part of. Our goal of making this a fun filled positive experience for everyone as we build on relationships and enjoy our magical golf facility is now well on its way!
