With the warm weather and the lack of snow (for now), it seems like we will be back on the course before you know it. The WP Golf Institute has several new and exciting programs being offered this year. This is the first year we are offering one-day short game clinics as well as our two-day golf schools at all five golf courses, we have a new First Tee junior golf program at Oak Marsh, and all five WP Golf Properties have Fun Tee markers for use by newer golfers and our juniors. Whether it’s a golf school, junior golf or a private lesson, we anticipate a busy year for the instructional programs so please sign up early to reserve your spots. During January some Institute instructors were continuing to learn about the golf swing from the best instructors in the country at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando Florida. Jim McLean, Butch Harmon, and Rick Martino were just a few of the top instructors holding court at the Orlando convention center. Minnesota has their own golf show this month at the Metrodome February 24-26 where our own Institute instructors will be teaching. Stop by and say hi or take a 15-minute lesson! Finally, before you start thinking about improving your golf game this year with a lesson or a golf school, our club repair specialist, Tim Dubois at 19th Hole Club Repair in South St. Paul, is offering a free equipment check up to any WP Golf Institute students during the month of February. Tim will check the loft, lie, length, weight, grip or anything you can think of in order to help you improve your game. This will be our fourth year working with Tim, and in our opinion, he is top notch when it comes to professional club repair, measuring and adjusting.
