2009 Rental Information
2009 POLICIES
Thank you for choosing Lost Spur for your special occasion. Our policies are designed to provide the
information necessary to create a wonderful experience for you and your guests. Our Professional Planner
is available to guide you through all the options and decisions you need to make, and will answer any
questions you have. Please do not hesitate to ask.
Menu Selections:
Lost Spur offers an extensive selection of menus, or, if you desire, our executive chef will create a custom
menu perfect for your event. Vegetarian and children's menus are also available upon request. Menu prices
will be guaranteed 30 days prior to your event based on market fluctuations. Multiple entrees require
color-coded place cards. Menu selections are due to the catering office two weeks prior to your scheduled
event. Our planner will help you choose a menu just right for your event.
Food Regulations:
Due to health department regulation and club policy, aside from a wedding cake prepared by a licensed,
commercial baker and 750 mL bottles of wine or champagne, all food and beverages must be provided by
Lost Spur and consumed on the premises. Health Department regulations prohibit guests from taking
home extra food or beverages.
Food Tastings:
Food tastings may be pre-arranged through the catering department with a least one week's notice.
Bartender Charge:
A professional bartender is provided at no charge if bar sales total $200 or more. A nominal fee of $50 will
be charged if bar sales are less than $200.
Corkage Fee:
If you choose to bring your own wine or champagne you may bring 750mL bottles of wine or champagne
for which there will be a $9.95 per bottle corkage fee. No other size bottles are permitted.
Wedding Cakes:
You are welcome to provide your own cake, but you must choose a baker who is a licensed, commercial
baker. It's required that the Lost Spur cut and serve your wedding cake. Cake cutting fee is $1.00 per person.
Wedding Gifts and Cards:
To assure the security of your wedding gifts and cards, please assign a trusted person to act on your
behalf as your gift coordinator to accept and monitor all of your wedding gifts and cards. We will lock up
all gifts and cards, but be sure to provide instructions to your gift coordinator to remove your gifts prior
to leaving. Lost Spur is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Security:
Security is required for all Wedding Receptions as well as other larger groups. The event host is
responsible for the security fee of $175.00.
Deposits:
A non-refundable banquet deposit of $500.00 is required for all reservations to be confirmed. The banquet
deposit will be credited toward your final bill if terms of agreement are met.
Guarantee:
A guarantee for the number of Guests is required one week prior to your event. You will be billed based on
this guarantee. If no guarantee is submitted, we will consider the last number given to be the guarantee.
Damage to Property:
Please do not affix any item to the walls without prior approval. Lost Spur reserves the right to charge the
appropriate cleaning fee for work required to return property to its original condition and/or to be
reimbursed for damage to property and/or furnishings.
Payment & Service Charge:
Final payment is due the day of the event. All food & beverage prices are subject to 7.025% Mn state sales
tax and a 17% service charge. Alcohol is also subject to an additional 9.25%Mn state liquor tax.
Time Frame:
For evenings events, bar service and entertainment must end at 12:00am, with guests vacating the
premises by 1:00am. On Sunday evenings, bar service and entertainment must end at 11:00pm with guests
vacating the premises by 12:00am.
Music and Entertainment:
The catering office is pleased to recommend music and entertainment for your event, or you may make your
own arrangements. It is important that your entertainment contact our Catering Office to arrange for set-up
times, locations of equipment and power needs.
Decorations and Centerpieces:
Complimentary white tablecloths and white linen napkins are provided. Centerpieces, ice carvings, and
additional decorations may be rented through your Lost Spur Coordinator, or you may bring in your own.
Open tapered candles, confetti and glitter are not permitted.
Wedding Ceremonies:
Wedding Ceremonies are an indoor option only and there is an additional $300.00 fee.
Smoke free Environment:
Lost Spur is a smoke free facility. Smoking is allowed outside and on the deck only.
