2008 POLICIES
FOOD & BEVERAGE
All food & beverage must be supplied, prepared, and consumed on the premises of City-View.
Guests may not bring in any food & beverage with exception of specialty cakes as specified below.
Further, guests may not remove any food and beverage from the premises due to license and insurance restrictions.
FOOD & BEVERAGE MINIMUM
There is a food & beverage minimum for all events held at City View. This minimum means the event host must purchase the minimum dollar amount stated on their contract in their own F & B purchases that are written up on an invoice. Beverages that your guests pay for at the bar are not applied towards this minimum. The minimum is calculated on the actual F & B amount purchased prior to any sales tax, liquor tax or service charge. If you fall short of meeting this minimum the remaining balance will be additional room rental added to your bill. The regular room rental fee still applies regardless of meeting this minimum and is not waived.
LIQUOR POLICY
Bar revenue minimums are $200.00 per bartender. If your total falls below this amount, there will be a $50.00 set-up fee per bartender. All state laws pertaining to the drinking age will be enforced, and ID's are required. Furthermore, if your event is a wedding reception, please be certain that the wedding party has proper identification with them as we will ask anyone that looks under the age of 30 for their identification. We will not serve anyone alcohol if they do not have proper identification. Lastly, all beverages must be purchased from City-View and any beverages brought in to the facility will be taken by City-View staff. Beverages purchased from City-View may not be removed from the premises. Beverages are to be in building at all times. Drinking outside, except for deck area, is prohibited.
WEDDING CEREMONIES
Wedding Ceremonies are an indoor option only and there is an additional $300.00 fee.
SECURITY
Security is required for all Wedding Receptions as well as other large group events involving alcohol. Security may be required for any other events that management deems necessary. Please ask management if your event will require security. The event host is responsible for the security officer fee.
CAKE POLICY
You may bring in a cake from a licensed bakery, however, there will be a $1.00 charge per person and this includes cake cutting and service by City-View Staff. It is required that City-View cut and serve your wedding or special occasion cake.
MENU SELECTION & GUARANTEES
To enable us to properly prepare and order for your event, menu selections are requested 30 days in advance. Food & Beverage prices are subject to change until 60 days prior to your event. To avoid problems and disappointments, please be sure to work with a current menu. A guaranteed number of guests must be received 10 days prior to your event. This guarantees cannot be reduced and sets the minimum number that you will be charged for. If a guarantee is not received, the guaranteed number is the most recent number during the event planning.
TIMEFRAME
For evenings events, bar service and entertainment must end at 12:00 a.m., with guests vacating the premises by 1:00 a.m. On Sunday evenings, bar service and entertainment must end at 11:00p.m, with guests vacating the facility by 12:00a.m.
PAYMENT, SERVICE CHARGE, & TAX
The deposit amount to book a date is $500.00 which is considered non-refundable. Final payment is due the day of the event. All food & beverage prices are subject to 6.5% MN State Sales Tax and a 17% Service Charge. Alcohol is also subject to an additional 9% MN State Liquor Tax.
DECORATIONS
City View has Bud Vases, Mirror Tiles and Votives available for rental. You may bring in candles for a centerpiece as long as they are in a container that will catch wax. CONFETTI & GLITTER ARE NOT PERMITTED. There will be an additional fee for any damage and extra clean up that may be necessary.
SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT
City-View is a smoke free facility. Smoking is allowed outiside deck only.
LIABILITY & DAMAGES
City-View shall not assume any responsibility for the loss of any personal items placed in our facility prior to, during.or following your event. Furthermore, the event host is liable for any damage to City-View property during your event.

Meetings: All rental rates for meetings are valid Monday-Friday during the normal business day. Evening or weekend meetings incur the Banquet Rental Rates. |

We will order in any other piece of A/V equipment that you may need and bill you for the charges from the
